14 NIGHTS 15 DAYS: DELHI - VARANASI - AGRA - JAIPUR - PUSHKAR - UDAIPUR - JODHPUR - JAISLAMER - BIKANER - MANDAWA
DAY 01 : DELHI
Arrival at Delhi. Welcome at the airport and transfer to hotel. In the afternoon tour of Old Delhi. It is a 17th century walled city with its splendid gates, narrow alleys and the enormous Bazaar. Then visit New Delhi, which is in complete contrast with Old Delhi with wide tree lined avenues, Parks and fountains surrounding the imposing Government and State Buildings. Overnight stay at the hotel.
DAY 02 : DELHI - VARANASI
Morning fly to Varanasi (Benares), India’s holiest city, located on the sacred Ganges River. Arrive and transfer to hotel, Varanasi is most important place of pilgrimage for Hindus and the sight of devout praying standing water deep in Ganges. Overnight stay.
DAY 03 : VARANASI
Early morning boat tour on River Ganges to visit Bathing Ghats. Return to hotel for breakfast. City tour of Varanasi visiting various temples and noted Banaras Hindu University. Afternoon excursion to Sarnath. It was here that the Lord Budha delivered his first sermon and set in motion the wheel of law of Buddhist faith. Overnight stay.
DAY 04 : VARANASI - AGRA
Transfer to airport to catch flight for Delhi and on arrival drive to Agra. On arrival check in at hotel. Rest of the day free. Overnight stay.
DAY 05 : AGRA - FATEHPUR SIKRI - JAIPUR
Morning city tour of Agra, which was once the capital of Mughal India and centre of great power and glory. Visit world famous "Taj Mahal" the monument of love immortalized in marble. It was built by Emperor Shah Jahan in the memory of his Queen Mumtaj. Stop enroute and visit Fatehpur Sikri, undoubtly the best-preserved Mughals Palace city built by Akbar. Than Proceed to Jaipur and after arrival check in at hotel. Overnight stay.
DAY 06 : JAIPUR
Morning excursion to Amber fort. Ascend by painted elephant upto fort with its huge gateways and pillared pavilions. It has a marble Palace, Temple of Victory and Sheesh Mahal (Hall of Mirrors). Afternoon city tour of Jaipur. Visit City Palace and Museum. Nearby is the ornate Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds), which is five stories high and is decorated with delicate screens carved from stone. Also visit Jantar Mantar, observatory, which is still equipped with immense brick and mortal instrument. Overnight stay.
DAY 07 : JAIPUR - PUSHKAR
Morning leave for Pushkar. Stop enroute at Ajmer & visit "Dargah" a world famous sacred place for Muslims. Then proceed to Pushkar where world famous camel festival is held around November every year. Overnight stay.
DAY 08 : PUSHKAR - UDAIPUR
Morning visit Pushkar which lies on the edge of a small and beautiful lake in Eastern Rajasthan, a city of 500 temples and 52 bathing ghats. Then proceed to Udaipur. After arrival check in at hotel. Overnight stay.
DAY 09 : UDAIPUR
Morning city tour of Udaipur visiting City Palace museum, which is of granite and marble. Also visit Jagdish temple and Saheliyon ki Bari. Afternoon excursion to Eklingi and Nagada. Overnight stay.
DAY 10 : UDAIPUR - RANAKPUR - JODHPUR
Morning leave for Jodhpur. Stop enroute and visit Ranakpur. Here are 15th century Jain Temples known for outstanding sculptures. Then proceed to Jodhpur. Afternoon visit Meharangarh Fort in 1457 A.D. It has a high stonewall protecting the well-fortified city. It has rich collection of Palanquins, elephant howdahs, musical instruments, costumes, furniture’s and armory. After arrival check in at the hotel. Overnight stay.
DAY 11 : JODHPUR - JAISALMER
Morning leave for Jaisalmer, which is an architectural dream in the lonely yellow silence of the desert. Afternoon arrival check in at hotel. Overnight stay.
DAY 12 : JAISALMER
Morning city tour of Jaisalmer visiting fort, Patwaon Ki Haveli and Nathmal Ki Haveli which are famous for wonderful carving. Afternoon free to explore the desert town on your own. Overnight stay.
DAY 13 : JAISALMER - BIKANER
Morning leave for Bikaner, which is a desert city on the ancient carvan routes that originated from Africa and West Asia. Arrival and check in at hotel. Afternoon city tour of Bikaner visiting impressive Junagarh fort. Overnight stay.
DAY 14 : BIKANER - MANDAWA
Morning leave for Mandawa. On arrival check in at hotel. Afternoon visit Havelis which were built by great merchant families. The havelis are famous for beautiful frescos on the walls. Overnight stay.
DAY 15 : MANDAWA - DELHI
Morning departure for Delhi. After arrival in city rest of the day free for last minute shopping. Late evening departure for airport to catch flight for onward destination. |
