DAY 01 : CHENNAI
Arrival at Chennai. Transfer to hotel. Afternoon city tour of Chennai visiting Fort St. George, Anna Samadhi and Museum. Overnight stay.
DAY 02 : CHENNAI-KANCHIPURAM-MAHABALIPURAM
Morning departure for Kanchipuram, one of the seven sacred cities of India. Then proceed to Mahabalipuram, Visit the Shore Temples, one of the oldest temples in south India. It belongs to the early 8th century AD and Arjuna’s Penance, the world’s biggest bas relief measuring 27m x 9m is the pride of Mahabalipuram. Overnight stay.
DAY 03 : MAHABALIPURAM-TANJORE
Morning leave for Thanjavur, enroute visit Chidambram. Proceed to Thanjavur, which is called cultural capital of the region. Here visit Brihadeeshwara Temple built in 10th century. Overnight stay.
DAY 04 : TANJORE-TRICHY
Morning drive for Trichirapalli and visit Rock Fort, which is landmark of the city. Then tour of Srirangam Island. Overnight stay.
DAY 05 : TRICHY-MADURAI
Morning drive to Madurai. After arrival check in at the hotel. Afternoon city tour of Madurai, which has been patterned on the lotus flower with famous Meenakshi Temple at the center. The Temple is famous for gigantic gateway, which is 49 mts. high. Overnight stay.
DAY 06 : MADURAI-PERIYAR
Morning leave for Periyar Wild Life Sancturay. Afternoon visit Park to enjoy wild life and watch wild elephants in their natural habitat. Overnight stay
DAY 07 : PERIYAR -TRIVANDRUM-KOVALAM
Morning leave for Trivandrum. Enroute stop and visit Padmanabhapuram Temple. Evening free to relax on beach. Overnight stay.
DAY 08 : KOVALAM -BACKWATERS (HOUSEBOAT)
Morning leave for Alleppey which is about 175 Kms know as Venice of the East, on arrival transfer to the House boat, a journey through the scenic backwaters with typical Kerala meals served on board. Overnight stay in Houseboat.
DAY 09 : ALLEPPEY-KUMARAKOM
Disembark from Houseboat transfer to Kumarakom. On arrival check in at the hotel. Day at leisure to enjoy the natural surroundings. Alternatively you can join an optional tour to neighboring villages or the Bird Sanctuary, take a country cruise or enjoy an Ayurvedic massage. Overnight stay at the hotel.
DAY 10 : KUMARAKOM-KOCHI
Morning leave for Kochi. Upon arrival check in at the hotel. Kochi has one of the best natural harbors in the country. Afternoon city tour of Kochi visiting Dutch palace and St. Francis Church, the oldest church built by Europeans in India. Overnight stay.
DAY 11 : KOCHI-MYSORE
Morning transfer to airport to catch flight for Bangalore. Than drive to Mysore. Arrival and check in at the hotel. Afternoon city tour of Mysore visiting City Palace, Beautiful Vrindavan Gardens and Chamundi Temple. Overnight stay.
DAY 12 : MYSORE-HASSAN
Morning departure for Hassan. Arrival Hassan and check in at the Hotel. Afternoon tour of Chennakeshawa temple at Belur dating back to 13th century during Hoyassala dynasty & then visit Hoysaleswar temple at Helebid. Overnight stay at Hassan.
DAY 13 : HASSAN-BANGALORE
Leave Hassan and drive to Bangalore. Enroute visit Sravenbelgola, a one thousand years old colxossus and then continue drive to Bangalore. Arrive Bangalore check in at hotel Afternoon city tour visiting Lalbagh Gardens, Cubban Park & Museum. Overnight stay.
DAY 14 : DEPARTURE
Morning transfer to airport to catch flight for onward destination. |
